- Small amount of brown yarn for the trunk
- Crochet hook suitable for your yarn
- Tapestry needle

Tree pattern
Work in continuous rounds.
Round 1: Make a magic ring and crochet 6 sc into it. (6)
Round 2: Inc in each stitch around. (12)
Round 3: Sc in next stitch, inc in next stitch — repeat around. (18)
Round 4: Sc in next 2 stitches, inc in next stitch— repeat around. (24)
Round 5: Sc around. (24)
Round 6: Sc in next 3 stitches, inc in next stitch— repeat around. (30)
Round 7: Sc around. (30)
Round 8: Sc in next 4 stitches, inc in next stitch— repeat around. (36)
Round 9: Sc around. (36)
At this point, you have a small, slightly rounded tree shape. For a flat hanging tree, stop here and flatten it. For a 3D tree, continue decreasing:
Round 10: Sc in next 4 stitches, sc2tog — repeat around. (30)
Round 11: Sc in next 3 stitches, sc2tog — repeat around. (24)
Round 12: Sc in next 2 stitches, sc2tog — repeat around. (18)
Add a little stuffing.
Round 13: Sc in next stitch, sc2tog — repeat around. (12)
Round 14: Sc2tog around. (6)
Fasten off and sew the opening closed.
⭐ Add the trunk
Using brown yarn, attach it to the bottom of the tree and crochet 6–8 sc in a small circle for 2–3 rounds. Fasten off and weave in the ends.
Add the hanger
Thread a piece of ribbon or yarn through the top of the tree and tie a loop. You can also crochet a chain of about 12–15 stitches, join it to the top, and use that as the hanger.
Decorate with tiny crocheted stars, beads, embroidery, or little colorful pom-poms.
Tip: To make a whole set, use different shades of green and add gold, red, white, and silver decorations.
