Southern 3-Ingredient Pepper Jelly Dip

Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 15–20 minutes

Serves: 8–10

Ingredients

  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (240 g) pepper jelly
  • 1 cup (115 g) shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the softened cream cheese in a small baking dish or pie plate and spread it into an even layer.
  3. Spoon the pepper jelly evenly over the cream cheese.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar over the top.
  5. Bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the dip is hot and bubbling around the edges.
  6. Let it cool for 5 minutes, then serve warm with crackers, toasted baguette slices, pretzels, or sturdy corn chips.

Tip: For an especially Southern touch, use sharp cheddar and a sweet-hot pepper jelly. If you like more heat, choose a jalapeño or habanero pepper jelly.
