Cook time: 15–20 minutes
Serves: 8–10
Ingredients
- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup (240 g) pepper jelly
- 1 cup (115 g) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the softened cream cheese in a small baking dish or pie plate and spread it into an even layer.
- Spoon the pepper jelly evenly over the cream cheese.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar over the top.
- Bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the dip is hot and bubbling around the edges.
- Let it cool for 5 minutes, then serve warm with crackers, toasted baguette slices, pretzels, or sturdy corn chips.
Tip: For an especially Southern touch, use sharp cheddar and a sweet-hot pepper jelly. If you like more heat, choose a jalapeño or habanero pepper jelly.
